GRADUATE PROGRAM IN
ENERGY SYSTEMS MANAGEMENT AND POLICY
Master's of Engineering and Graduation Certificate Degree in Energy Systems Management and Policy
In working to develop sustainable solutions for everyday challenges, today’s engineers must navigate a complex energy landscape in which policy often shapes technology, energy systems, and financial trends.
In response to this demand, the A. James Clark School of Engineering has launched a Graduate Certificate in Engineering in Energy Systems Management and Policy program.
Whether you’re an engineer looking to incorporate energy policy aspects into your line of work, or you’re a government employee hoping to enhance your engineering training, our graduate certificate program will expose you to critical topics in energy policy, energy systems analysis, and applications of management science in engineering.
Along with University of Maryland engineering faculty, renowned energy expert David E. Rodgers will help students understand how economic, environmental, and sustainability agendas can impact both small- and large-scale engineering projects. With more than 25 years of experience working in various capacities for the U.S. Department of Energy and the World Bank, Rodgers has played a major role in the development of energy policy proposals for the Obama administration and the management of sustainable energy practices in developing countries.
